❤️ Why you'll love it
Easy recipe: With just a handful of ingredients and minimal prep time, these sticky buns are incredibly easy to make. They are perfect for satisfying sudden cravings or surprising your loved ones with a homemade treat.
Sticky caramel bottom: The combination of dark brown sugar, and butter, creates a rich and caramelized sauce that coats the entire bottom of the crescent cinnamon rolls. Each caramel roll is a delightful explosion of sweet and gooey goodness.
Versatile and Customizable: This recipe serves as a fantastic base for customization. Feel free to add your favorite nuts, such as pecans or walnuts, to the filling for an added crunch. You can also drizzle a simple glaze or cream cheese frosting over the baked buns for extra sweetness.
🥘 Ingredients
Crescent roll dough: buy the crescent dough sheets without perforation if possible. If not, be sure to press perforations together to prevent leakage.
Butter: I like to use salted butter for this recipe, but unsalted butter can be used if you are trying to watch salt intake.
Dark brown sugar: for a deeper caramel flavor and creates a sticky caramel sauce in the sticky buns.

📖 Variations
Jam Filled Sticky Buns: spread a spoonful of your favorite fruit preserves or pie filling on top of the crescent roll dough in before rolling up the buns. This will create a delightful fruity twist to your sticky buns.
Apple Cinnamon Sticky Buns: Add a layer of thinly sliced apples tossed in cinnamon and brown sugar on top of the cinnamon mixture before rolling up the buns.
Nutella Banana Sticky Buns: Instead of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture, spread a layer of Nutella on the crescent roll dough triangles. Top with sliced bananas before rolling up the buns.
Lemon Blueberry Sticky Buns: Skip the cinnamon and brown sugar altogether. Instead, spread a layer of lemon curd on the crescent roll dough triangles. Sprinkle fresh or frozen blueberries on top before rolling up the buns.
💭 Tips
- For a fun twist, you can add a handful of chopped nuts, such as pecans or walnuts, to the brown sugar and butter mixture.
- Remove mini sticky buns from baking dish while still warm to prevent sticking.
- For larger sweet rolls, gut the dough a little thicker.
- A piece of unflavored dental floss can make a quick clean cut when cutting the roll dough. Wrap floss around a 1" strip of dough and bring ends of the floss together in a criss cross to easily cut the dough.

Yes, you can assemble the sticky buns in advance and refrigerate them overnight. Just make sure to bring them to room temperature before baking.
