Kimchi, I buy this in the grocery stores refrigerated section.
Sriracha sauce, there are several different kinds out there, I like to buy the spicy garlic one.
Sugar free ketchup, this is important if you are following keto or low carb.
Mayonnaise, I opt for full fat, but if you are not following keto, feel free to use a lighter mayonnaise
Salt & black pepper to taste
Cheese slices
Keto burger buns (if not keto, regular burger buns are ok to use).
🔪 Instructions
- Divide the ground beef into 8 3 ounce portions. Shape into a flat burger patty. Place on a plate and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat until hot. Place the burgers in the skillet and cook for 3 minutes on each side, until burger reaches desired level of doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, mix mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, and ketchup in a small bowl. Stir to combine and set aside.
- Lightly butter the bun top and bottom and place face down in a hot skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until buns are lightly golden. Remove from the skillet.
- In the final minutes before burgers are done, place ½ slice of cheese on each burger and allow it to melt slightly.
- To serve, place one burger on top of the bottom bun, cover with 1 tablespoon of sauce, then layer with another burger patty and sauce. Top with ¼ cup of kimchi and place bun tops on burgers.

📖 Variations
- Add a sweet touch to the burger sauce by stirring in a teaspoon of sugar free maple syrup, or pure maple syrup (for regular or Paleo diets).
- Substitute a sugar free barbecue sauce or chili sauce for the ketchup.
- Make a burger with just one beef patty and place a fried egg on top of the kimchi layer.
💭 Tips
- Flatten the burger patties out enough to be larger than the bottom of the bun as it will shrink when cooking.
