Strawberry Rhubarb Chipotle BBQ Sauce has a sweet smoky heat that will satisfy all of your sweet heat senses! The flavors of your spring fruit combined with chipotle to create a delicious sauce that is perfect to top your BBQ Burgers! When all is said and done, you have a burger with a ton of flavor to serve up into hungry hands-on Pepperidge Farm® Hamburger Buns!
Burgers are a mainstay during the summer months in the Grumpy house! They are so easy to just throw on the grill when you get home from work and have them ready in a short time! Of course, a burger to Grumpy is not a burger without the bun. We have found that you don't need to add a lot of fancy to your burger for it be delicious. All you need is some really good beef and an equally delicious bun!
Most of the time we will just use ketchup and mayonnaise for a burger topping. Ok, let's face it, Grumpy may still have done this, but his burger was still coated on the grill with this mouthwatering, easy to make Strawberry Rhubarb Chipotle BBQ Sauce! We are also huge fans of cheese on our burgers, so this was a must also.
For this BBQ sauce, you want to be sure that you use a milder cheese to top it. Mixing two bold flavors can be a little overwhelming. We basically went for the regular Colby Jack cheese which is really mild.
One of my favorite toppings for my burger is Air Fryer Shishito Peppers. I usually like to pile them on my burger and on the side! 🙂 We most always have onions and pickles to go on the sandwich also. Then, topping everything off with a little more of the BBQ sauce is mandatory!
Now that I have shared with you how Grumpy and I #RespectTheBun, you can share how you Respect the Bun®! Just share your best looking hamburger or hotdog pic proudly served on a Pepperidge Farm® bun on Instagram or Twitter for a chance to win a prize! Be sure to read all the details HERE!
We not only love our burger coated in this delicious Strawberry Rhubarb Chipotle BBQ Sauce, but we also love the bun toasted! I don't even dare think about not toasting the bun for Grumpy! I would probably catch the riot act. In the summertime, my favorite way to toast the bun is to put a little butter on it, then put it on the grill buttered side down at the last few minutes of grilling time. Just be sure to watch them so they don't get too toasty!
