❤️ Why you'll love it
Easy cocktail: if you love easy dessert cocktails, then this baileys chocolate martini is a great way to satisfy that sweet tooth!
Sweet Treat: this drink is bursting with chocolate flavor, favorite cocktail of chocolate lovers.
Perfect after-dinner drink: this is a great drink to sit down after dinner is over and relax with.
🥘 Ingredients
Chocolate liquor: choose your own favorite chocolate liqueur. I couldn't find godiva chocolate liqueur, which is my preference, but this triple chocolate liqueur worked perfectly!
Baileys Original Irish Cream: adds creaminess to the drink. You can substitute creme de cacao
Vodka: I used regular vodka, but feel free to use whipped cream vodka or vanilla vodka
Chocolate syrup: used to coat the rim of the glass to help the cocoa powder stick (optional) and/or to drizzle on the inside of the glass
Cocoa powder: I like the bitterness of cocoa powder combined with the chocolate syrup rim, but if you prefer, you can use chocolate shavings.
Ice
🔪 Instructions
- Add ice to the cocktail shaker.
- If desired, dip the rim of the glass into chocolate syrup, then dip the chocolate coated rim into cocoa powder.
- Drizzle a swirl of chocolate syrup on the inside of the martini glass
- Add a handful of ice to the martini shaker, pour in the chocolate liquor, Irish cream liqueur, and vodka. Cover and give a good shake until shaker is frosty and cold.
- Pour the chocolate martini into prepared glasses and serve.
🥄 Equipment
Cocktail shaker: to mix the drink with ice
Small plate or glass rimmer: used to rim the martini glass with chocolate syrup and cocoa powder
Martini glasses: for serving
📖 Variations
- If desired, dip the rim of the glass in a little bit of vodka instead of chocolate sauce, then dip in the cocoa powder.
- Instead of rimming the glass, dust the drink with a little bit of cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate coated cocoa beans
- If you like the combination of mint and chocolate, substitute peppermint schnapps for the vodka and use crushed candy canes to rim the top of the glass.
💭 Tips
- Use a chilled glass to keep the drink as cold as possible when serving.
- Make a white chocolate martini and substitute Godiva grand white chocolate liqueur in place of the regular chocolate liqueur.
