❤️ Why I Love This Recipe
I love air fryer recipes. It makes everything so much easier to make and cleaning up is a breeze. Not to mention, making pork chops in an air fryer produces the best pork chop I have ever eaten.
I also love that this recipe can be made with any flavor you like. If you have a special rub you like to use on grilled pork, it will this recipe. My favorite rub is this versatile Dry Steak Rub recipe and I am known to use it on pork chops, steak, chicken, and venison.
👪 Serving Size
This air fryer pork chop recipe serves 4-6 people.
🥘 Ingredients
Pork Chops. I like to use bone in pork chops because there is so much flavor. Boneless pork chops can be used in place of bone in. Just be sure to watch the cooking time as they will cook faster then bone in.
Seasoning. Salt and pepper or your favorite meat rub will work here. I used my go to Dry Steak Rub Recipe for these pork chops but I also love use this Homemade Taco Seasoning.

The secret to these juicy air fryer pork chops is in the cooking method. It cooks at high heat with circulating air in a contained space. This allows the meat to not only cook evenly but it also browns the meat as it cooks.
Air fryers vary greatly. Smaller families can make due with a smaller one, but even a family of two can sometimes benefit from a larger machine. I have owned a smaller one and a larger one and I would never go back to a smaller one again because I found I could do so much with it.
If you are in the market for buying an air fryer, below are some I recommend.
- This 4-quart air fryer is perfect for 1-2 people in the home. It is highly rated and is made by a reputable brand.
- I own one similar to this 10-quart capacity air fryer with rotisserie option and love it.
⏲️ Cook Time
Air Fryer Pork Chops Cooking time will depend on the desired degree of doneness. This recipe has a 12 minute cooking time, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.
🔪 Instructions

- Preheat the air fryer at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Using a paper towel, blot each pork chop to absorb any liquid.
- Coat each pork chop with olive oil.
- Evenly distribute the steak rub over each pork chop, rubbing the seasoning into the chop.
How to make pork chops in air fryer: Step 2

💭 Top Tips
- Really work the rub into the pork chop to infuse as much flavor as possible.
- Dry rubs work better than wet sauces. If a sauce is preferred, I recommend adding it during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Don't skip patting the meat dry, doing so creates less steam when air frying the pork chops.
👩🏻🍳 FAQs
The cook time will vary depending on the air fryer being used and the thickness of the pork chop and whether or not the pork chop has a bone or is boneless. The best gauge is to check the internal temperature of the pork chop to be assured it is cooked properly.
Lightly coating the pork with oil helps the rub to stick better to the meat and a little oil also adds the type of moisture you need to reduce dry steaks.
It is not necessary to rinse pork off before cooking. However, you may want to do so if there are any bone grindings showing on the pork.

Please tell me, how many carbs?
Shelby Law Ruttan
The number of carbs will be decided upon with what you decide to use for a rub. If you season with just salt and pepper, it is zero carbs. If you use the dry steak rub recipe I linked to and sub with a keto friendly brown sugar sub, you will have 1 carb per 1 tbsp. Same with the homemade taco seasoning that I linked to.
