I love the freshness of tomatoes and basil. Put it together with fresh mozzarella and a balsamic drizzle and it is irresistible to me. I ate this all by myself and I'm not ashamed to admit it! This simple Caprese Salad is a great addition to your picnic table.
- 1-8 ounce container fresh mozzarella balls
- 2 cups grape tomatoes, sliced in half
- ½ - ¾ cup fresh basil, cut in ribbons
- balsamic vinegar syrup
- Cut mozzarella balls in quarters, add grape tomatoes and basil. Toss. Place serving on platter and drizzle with desired amount of balsamic syrup.

I would have no problem eating this all by myself either! I love caprese salad! My husband doesn't really like mozzarella so I have had to adapt with my tomato salads to feta when making them for the family, but I still make this for myself sometimes. Your pictures are gorgeous!

I love this salad too! We make it often when my basil plants are going crazy!

This is one of my very favorite salads ever. Of course anything with fresh mozzarella can't be bad in my book!
